TayTene Cafe - Grilled Beef Banh Mi

 

TayTene Cafe is a Vietnamese restaurant in South Portland, Maine. They have one of the biggest selections of banh mi in the area, with 11 different options for fillings. There are two vegetarian options; the rest have different meats including pork, beef and chicken.

On this visit I decided to try the Grilled Beef banh mi. The beef was thick cut and flavorful. The sandwich is a bit smaller than some other banh mis around Portland, but still plenty of food. The bread is also slightly less crispy than some of the other sandwiches I've tried.

I love TayTene's packaging with the red and white checkered paper - definitely makes for a fun experience! I will be back to try some of their other banh mis.
